Charlie's Poster Attempts 1 and 2

To promote our event our group decided to make a poster that we could put up around uni and in the general Farnham area. But, it was getting an idea of how we wanted the poster to look. We needed it to stand out and grabs peoples attention but not let it be tacky. Then there was the factor of making it so it didn't reveal too much information about the event as to entice who ever read it.

Looking through propaganda posters from the 40's to help get the ideas flowing, we had a general idea of what sort of poster to do.

As a group effort we came up with having the traditional tea stained background to make it look vintage. However, after some simple designing and font we had finished, but we made was not suitable. We tried for recruitment propaganda from 1940's Britain, yet it turned into 1940's Russian propaganda.

Quickly we had to change this and make it seem not only less racist, but more themed around our event. So in order to change it, we went straight for the colour, making it blue themed to match the winter season. Whilst keeping the same design we tried adding some flare to the font. Making it look 3D and a bit snowy, but the rest of the group wasn't having it.

We thought it was better but it was still bad, we had to come up with a new idea.
