Bust Problems

The issue with them was the fact I didn't put enough layers on them, I only put 3-4 layers when I should of put 10 layers on each. This would have reduced the chicken wire texture dramatically. Also I should of been using Gesso paint rather than acrylic as the acrylic didn't sit on the dried PVA glue so I used toilet paper to soak up the paint, even with 2 coats it was still see through, to cover up the newspaper underneath.

So my goal now is to fix these issues, by:

- applying more layers to each bust
- bought tester gesso paint
- buying Gesso paint

This should improve them dramaticall, fingers crossed!

!Problems solved!

I'm still not finished with fixing all the busts but after fixing two of them I can see a dramatic difference in the quality. The chicken wire doesnt show as much as it did and the Busts themselves are much sturdier. As shown in the pictures, I seperated the busts into sections and label them with how many layers have been applied so I didn't forget.

The new paint was amazing, it covers them nicely and I alone needed 2 layers to completely cover up the newpaper. Plus it gives them a nice matte finish.

!!News Update!!

!!They are all finished!!
